In order to be a stock broker in India you must at least be a graduate. Another prerequisite is a minimum of two years of experience in the field, preferably in a stock exchange firm. You can however become a sub-broker right after completing your higher secondary education.

There are different stock broker courses being offered in India. There is a post graduate member ship course in financial services and capital market. Then there is the one year post graduate diploma in the fundamentals of capital market development. There are a number of certificate courses apart from the above mentioned ones as well. The Chartered Financial Analyst Equity Research is yet another Stock Broker course being offered in India.
