As a travel agent, you must have your own representatives or affiliates in different parts of the country or different parts of the world; so that you can have reciprocal arrangements and your visitors will be looked after and escorted in the place/country of visit. You must have pleasing manners and excellent communicating skills. You must be very good in organizing things .Till the group leaves on the tour there will be lot of running around and for various permits, visas, foreign exchange, arranging local transport, air port transfers etc. If you are good in organizing things, you sill succeed in your career as a travel agent. You must have the up-to-date information of the arrivals/departures, cancellations if any of the flights, trains so that you can take early precaution to avoid the last minute confusions.
